Marathon??

That's right. I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in D.C. Halloween Weekend. I finished well below average overall. But that's okay. I started out at survival speed slowed to a walk and then got my second wind the last 4 miles and resumed survival speed.

Time: 5hr 0m 40s. Average mile pace 11:28. I estimate I walked 5+ miles., mostly between 18 1/2 and 23 miles.

Next year I will not stop training 3 weeks before the marathon.
